Pineapple Jägerbomb
Right, this one is absolutely unhinged in the best possible way and we are completely obsessed with it. We first made this for a summer party and honestly, the moment people saw a pineapple being used as a cocktail vessel, the whole vibe shifted. You've got that sweet, tangy fresh pineapple juice mixing with the herby kick of Jägermeister and the buzz of Red Bull, all served straight from an actual hollowed-out pineapple like some kind of tropical fever dream. It's the showstopper drink that costs almost nothing to make but gets everyone absolutely buzzing. If you're having people over this weekend, just trust us and make this.
Before You Start
- Food processor
- Pineapple hollowed out & ready to serve
Ingredients
- pineapple
- 1 can of Red Bull
- 1 lime
- Jägermeister
Method
For the pineapple
- Chop the top off the Pineapple & hollow it out with a knife (be careful not to pierce the sides of the Pineapple... or your skin!)
- Blend the pineapple flesh in a food processor
- Pour 2/3's of the juice back into the pineapple
Add the red bull
- Pour the Red Bull into the pineapple
For the Jägermeister
- Chop the lime in half & hollow it out (this is a bit fiddly, but you'll nail it)
- Put the hollowed lime in the top of the pineapple
- Fill it with Jägermeister
Time to drink
- BOSH! Then drink responsibly...
Tips & Variations
- Freeze your pineapple first: If you want to keep the drink cold without watering it down with ice, pop your hollowed pineapple in the freezer for 30 minutes before serving. It works a treat.
- Get the hollowing right: Take your time with the pineapple knife work and go slow around the edges. A thicker wall means the pineapple holds its shape better as a vessel and looks way more impressive.
- Make it a centrepiece: Set the pineapple on a wooden board surrounded by the lime shot glasses before you pour anything. That first pour in front of your guests is the moment. Don't waste it in the kitchen.
Why This Works
The trick here is blending the fresh pineapple flesh yourself rather than using store-bought juice. That freshness is everything and it cuts through the Jäger in a way that bottled stuff just doesn't. Using the lime shell as a shot glass is a bit fiddly, we won't lie, but it looks so cool and adds a little citrus hit right as you drop the shot in.
