Spice up your tofu game this weekend with this quick and super delicious tofu recipe. Scored and topped with a spicy chilli sauce that brings sticky soy vibes its then finished with a fresh cucumber and chilli sauce.

Ingredients
For the Silken Tofu
- 1 block of silken tofu
- 2 spring onions
- ½ cucumber
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 10g fresh ginger
- ½ tbsp crispy chilli oil
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp white sesame seeds
- 1 tsp black sesame seeds
Before you start
Frying Pan
Step 1
Prepare the veg
- Finely chop the spring onions, separating the white and green parts
- Slice the cucumber in half lengthways and scoop out the watery flesh
- Finely dice the rest of the cucumber
- Peel and mince the garlic and ginger
Ingredients
- 2 spring onions
- ½ cucumber
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 10g fresh ginger
Step 2
Cook the chilli sauce
- Heat a frying pan over a medium heat with the sesame oil
- Add the white parts of the spring onion, garlic, ginger and chilli toast for 1 minute until fragrant
- Add the brown sugar, rice wine vinegar and soy sauce and bring to a simmer for 2 minutes to reduce until slightly thickened
- Take off the heat and stir through the green parts of the onion and sesame seeds
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp white sesame seeds
- 1 tsp black sesame seeds
Step 3
Assemble and serve
- Drain the tofu from the liquid and place on kitchen paper to remove extra moisture
- Transfer to a plate and slice
- Spoon over the chilli sauce and garnish with cucumber and crispy onions to serve
